Arlene and Kyle both enjoy outdoor activities and they love spending time with their family. They have a total of 6 kids (5 boys and 1 girl) ranging in age from 14 to 24. Both Kyle and Arlene still love to go on weekly adventures, exploring new areas of our state searching for various gems, minerals and rocks. They bring these finds back to their store for their customers along with stories of the journeys. The customers do not only purchase items from their store but they gain an appreciation of how these incredible specimens are formed and trials of finding and recovering these magnificent items.
Kyle and Arlene Olechnowicz are a happily married couple, currently living in Bend, Oregon. They have been passionate about rocks, gems, minerals, crystals and fossils for several years and recently turned their passion into a business by purchasing, rebranding and growing their business, Nature’s Bling, located in Sisters, Oregon. Nature’s Bling is an established business, first opened in Yahats in 2014 and it has a very positive and strong reputation throughout the state of Oregon and most of the country.
Kyle retired from the Navy as a Commander in 2016 after serving over 26 years. As a disabled veteran, he enjoys giving back to local veteran groups and charities. His formal education includes advanced degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Applied Physics. He is a certified educator with the Board of Education in the State of Oregon and he enjoys working with kids teaching them new areas of geology and archeology.
Arlene is very passionate about computer programming and still supports the Department of Defense as the Navy’s lead web developer/architect. She works remotely from home, or in the shop, or on the road until about noon then she transforms into a gem mineral and crystal expert and helps customers with all their questions.
